Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to notoriety after she released her debut album Age Ain't Nothing More Than an Number in 1994. She was only 15 at the time and the album went on to become Gold. The group was heavily in the style of R. Kelly, and made her a star on the map. The year 1996 saw her release her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the top-selling track If Your Girl Only knew. The second album of Aaliyah called One in a million was released in 1996. It contained the number-one hit single"If You Girl Only Knew. In 2000, she was as a character in Romeo Must Die, a action/romance film starring Jet-Li. Joel Silver spotted her in an awards show. In 2002 she was part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels saw her playing Zee following her appearance in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions that same year. The year 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003 the singer was nominated for four Grammy awards. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Aarti Mann is an Indian American of the first generation born in Connecticut. Her stage name Mann is an abbreviation for her marital name Mankad. However, she uses both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar as her professional names. Although her early career was dominated by minor television and film performances, she rose to greater prominence in the mid-2000s. In addition to The Big Bang Theory her most notable work includes Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) and Grey's Anatomy (2017). The commercials she has done have been for big brands, like Volvo. Her daughter is a resident of Los Angeles and is pursuing acting.
